If you’re like most people on the planet earth, in many ways, you are likely an asshole.

I don’t say this to be rude or to call you out, but as the human condition goes…even if you are the sweetest person in the world, there is some level of ego, narcissism, pride, or selfishness that makes you an asshole.

It could be something as simple as an opinion you won’t budge on, a behavior you practice while on your morning commute, or the way you carry on after having a few too many shots at happy hour; who knows?!

The point is…if you are reading this blog, I am sure there is a point where you will ask yourself “who cares?” You will roll your eyes and think (or maybe say aloud to friends in the room…or to yourself if you do that kind of thing) “Gross! Another girly blog dolling out love and marriage advice! What’s the point?”

Truth?

There isn’t one.

I am a (reasonably) normal chick with issues just like everyone else. I work, I go to school, I have friends, I date, & I’m (in at least some ways) an asshole :-).

Still, barring all of that, I am a hopelessly passionate and firm believer in love. I want to know how it works, what it takes to make it last, what (if anything) can prevent it from ending, and how to cope when it does.

I wrote this blog both for myself and for all of the people who have ever exclaimed “how can I do that?!” or “how do I make this work?!” when talking about their love lives. I write it because more and more each day, people are giving up on the idea of a happy ending…and I believe that those who want it, deserve it! & those who don’t should still be happy too. No?

If any of that sounds cool to you, read on! For now, I’ll plan on publishing a new post every Friday, covering a wide variety of topics including:
– Couple Spotlight: Interviews with great couples!
– Case Studies: Real Life relationship experiences to relate to (no, not just my own).
