Wifeys & Gentlemen,
How are you? How’s your week been?
If I didn’t mention last time, the baby girl started Daycare last week and while I believe we are all adjusting nicely, she did what all toddlers do when they start daycare/school and brought her mama a beautiful cold!
If you’re a parent, you know that mommies and daddies don’t usually get sick days, so I’ve been trying to eat soup, drink lots of water, and catch up on rest as much as I can in between work and making sure she doesn’t break her head running around the house. π₯΄
Before anyone asks, no, we do not have COVID-19. Believe me, I am so beyond thankful for that.
I know I can be hard on myself at times, but in all honesty I’ve been feeling like I’ve been a little too relaxed when it comes to my personal health; too many close calls. I’m so ready to redirect and reprioritize my health and the health of my family.
This isn’t just limited to being stricter about COVID safety and immune system strength; I want to make significant improvements to my mental, physical, and emotional health as well.
This past Saturday, we had our daughter baptized. If you know me, you know I am not terribly religious. My husband was raised in a Catholic household and baptism is both culturally relevant and important to him and his family.
Believe it or not, I was all for it! I don’t exactly believe in “God” in the same way Christians do, but I do believe that god is everywhere you want or need it to be. Some call it the universe, some call it the ancestors, and some call it a strong sense of self.
I believe we all receive the things when we need when it’s truly time; when we need it most. The experience filled with me with a lot of positive and healing energy.
She was so beautiful and sweet. πΌπΎ
She was open and receptive. π»

She was perfection. β€
[excuse me while I GUSH]
In an unexpected contrast, last night [because the universe has a sense of humor] there was also a full moon in pisces.
I know I haven’t done many astrology posts on the blog this year (we’ll be changing that in 2022), but I got so excited when I realized that this would be a PERFECT time to introduce some of my own spirituality into our space, on the heels of an important moment in her young life.
For those who think this kind of thing is “lame” or “nonsensical”, that’s cool!
I have been trying to remind myself that what is meant for me will find me. If this post isn’t meant for you, feel free to pass it by + come back next time to find something that resonates!
I promise, you won’t hurt my feelings…much. π₯Ί
We good?
Okay! ππΎ
So, let me quickly explain (for those who have no clue), that a full moon occurs when it is in opposition to the sun, making it fully illuminated when we see from earth [#Science]. In the spiritual sense, it is a very strong symbol of the divine feminine energy, bringing with it greater intuition, creativity, wisdom and reflection/introspection.
A full moon in pisces furthers this energy by promising us emotional release and resolution. Now is the time to pay attentions to the signs, analyze your dreams, and absorb the messages that are being sent your way. It is also a great time to be kind to yourself and remove stress from your life.
…I promise, this all has a point! Hear me out:
This long introduction was the inspiration for today’s blog!
I thought it would be fun to share three amazing rituals you can try if you are trying to realign your energy with the full moon.
Sound crazy? Well, remember that the human body is made of over 70% water + the moon’s gravitational pull generates tidal force. So if the moon is powerful enough to control the tides, wouldn’t it stand to reason that it can have a meaningful impact on us?
I recommend doing these rituals with “moon-charged” water and/or crystals. Moon-charged water has had a chance to absorb the energy of the full moon, outside, overnight. I usually fill a 16oz water bottle and place it a plastic bag with other crystals, and some handwritten affirmations and manifestations. I place it outside, toward the moon, and allow it to remain until the next morning.
The next full moon is on Oct 20th, so you have time to gather your supplies and catch the next one!
A Ritual Smudge [for cleansing & protection]
I got this one from my bestie, who got it from TikTok. I tried it today and fell in LOVE. πππ
What You’ll Need:
- 6-8 cups charged water
- Sage leaves
- Salt
- Cinnamon stick (1-2)
- Rosemary Sprigs
- Lavender Sprigs
- 1 large lemon
Directions: combine all ingredients into a large pot and bring to a minimal boil at medium-low heat. Allow contents to simmer until steam begins to rise. Adjust heat as needed to maintain consistent simmer and steam. Continue until water begins to run out (without allowing pot to burn, of course).
Note: Be sure to monitor your pot closely. If you have charged crystals, you can add them to water as well. This ritual is a great alternative for sage burning and helps provide protection for yourself, your home, and your loved ones. The sage in the pot aids in this goal while also supporting purification and cleansing. The lavender aims to soothe tumultuous energy while the rosemary removes negativity. Salt and cinnamon provide an extra boost for grounding and removing obstacles that don’t mean us good.
Bonus? Your house will smell lovely! πΏ

A Ritual Meditation & Internal Alignment [for changing your energy & flow]
I have found that this is best when the water is very cold.
What You’ll Need:
- charged water OR a moon-charged crystal of your choice
- 16oz cup/bottle
- a list of relevant affirmations and manifestations
Directions: Charge your water in a sealed bottle that is safe from tampering or interference from the elements. If this is not possible, you can also opt to charge a crystal (in a plastic bag) and later add the crystal to a cup/bottle of regular water. Find a quiet spot where you can be alone and relax. Make sure you won’t be interrupted for at least 20 minutes. Write your affirmations on a piece of paper and repeat them aloud as you write. Once written, fold the paper and hold it in your left hand. Spend 10-15 minutes meditating about your affirmations and desires. Visualize yourself on the right path. Visualize your best self at your highest good. When you’re finished with your meditation, repeat your affirmations over your water and drink it immediately following. Appreciate the taste of it and experience the hydration; feel the water moving through you, shifting your internal energy.
Note: My mother bought me this FANTASTIC water bottle a couple years ago and it is my GO TO for charging water to drink. It has a crystal inside so I can refill it and drink the energy for days afterwards.

Sadly, I don’t know if the company is still around, however, there are tons of similar bottles on Amazon and via other vendors/sellers.
A Ritual Bath [for introspection and lightness]
Much like the mediation ritual, this process is great for wanting to change your energy and flow. Being in water inspires a sense of weightlessness, reminding us to let go of burdens and take time to reflect and refresh.
What You’ll Need:
- A Bathtub filled with warm water [to temperature preference]
- Moon-charged crystal OR 1 gallon of charged water.
- [Optional] Lemon, sage, rosemary, epsom salt, essential oils, lavender, flower petals, etc.
Directions: add your charged water, crystal, and/or other ingredients to warm, running water [enough to fill your bathtub]. Settle into the tub and allow yourself to relax your muscles and breathe deeply. It is best to have a time where you won’t be interrupted for at least 20-30 minutes. Instead of focusing on affirmations and visualizations, quiet your mind. Allow thoughts to come and go without judgement or concern. Remind yourself that it is okay to let go. Remember that you are open to receiving the answers and solutions to alleviate your stress. Thank the moon for changing the tides and allowing you to move toward all that is meant for you to experience. Soak in the water for as long as possible.
Note: If you are fortunate enough to have a private pool or live on a lake/beachfront property, you can skip this ritual entirely and treat yourself to a nighttime dip! Taking an outdoor swim in the moonlight is just as good, if not better, than a ritual bath. Move slowly, float along. Listen to the water and the night around you. Get lost as you drift [SAFELY].
Bonus points if you can do this naked [be mindful of neighbors, please].
So what do we think? Will anyone be trying these rituals next month?
Ps. My mama sent me this article and I thought it was a great starting point for anyone who is looking for affirmations or focus based on their zodiac sign(s).
I like to check out info on my big three: Sun (Taurus), Rising (Scorpio), and Moon (Sagittarius).
Okay. That’s enough hippy-dippy ish for one night!
I am recovering and and trying to make sure I get a new post out this Friday! Thank you all for showing me so much grace while I have taken some backslides. I PROMISE I will make it up to you so so soon.
